I recently had the honor and privilege to be invited to moderate (MC) the startup competition at The Web Summit in Dublin. I had a blast.
“Web Summit is a technology-industry conference held in Dublin, Ireland since 2010. The topic of the conference is centered on internet technology and attendees range from Fortune 500 companies to the worldās most exciting tech companies. This contains a a mix of CEOs and founders of tech start ups together with a range of people from across the global technology industry, as well as related industries.” – from Wikipedia
Forbes describes the events as āthe best technology conferences on the planetā and CNN call them āthe hottest events in techā. For me and others, it’s one of the best opportunities this side of the Atlantic to catch up with old friends in the startup scene from around the world and make new ones.

I recently had the honor and pleasure to be invited to the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) in Basel to lecture on innovation clusters and startup communities.

Teams presenting their progress
GreatĀ things take time. A year from when I was invitedĀ to Stanford to be trained by Steve Blank, we finally made it! This week, I started to teach the Lean Launchpad curriculum at the University of Cologne, more specifically at the recently launched university incubator named “Gateway” – the perfect place for it.

Recently I had the honor and pleasure to be invited to hold the inspirational keynote at what is probably the largest hackathon in Eastern Europe, HackTM, in Timisoara, Romania.
