Recently I was honored and delighted to be invited to introduce the world’s premier startup entrepreneurship curriculum, The Lean Launchpad, to the faculty to one of the largest universities in Turkey, Dokuz Eyül Üniversitesi.

Yesterday I had the pleasure and honor to be invited to present the case why Germany and specifically the state of North-Rhine Westphalia make sense to French startups to a trade delegation from France.

Yesterday saw the first ever winter finals of the Rheinland Pitch event series – and a spectacular success it was!
The Rheinland Pitch is a monthly startup event where regional startups receive professional pitch training and a stage to present themselves to investors, media and the general public – for free. I’ve been involved from the start in April 2013 and thus far I have trained over 270 startups to pitch – and counting!
Once in a while we pick the best of the best to pitch in a grand finals. This summer the first ever Rheinland Pitch finals took place in Düsseldorf and was a rip roaring success and we were very excited to bring the finals to Cologne, hosted by the wonderful Wallraf-Richartz Museum.

This Wednesday evening saw the very first meetup with 9 regional non-funded early-stage startups attending the very first Lean Launchpad Düsseldorf powered by PwC.

The Lean Launchpad (LLP) is a highly experiential educational program created by the father of the Lean Startup, Steve Blank at Standford and Berkeley. It helps startup founders gain a crucial base of entrepreneurial skills and knowledge to be better prepared and to build more successful startups.
It’s the world’s premier pre-accelerator program rooted in the scientific methodology, driven by mentors and unique educational content aims to make early-stage startup ready for applying to an accelerator, a first seed investment round, setting them off on a healthy self-financed (bootstrapped) path or launching their first Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
This weekend saw the first ever Startup Weekend Women in Düsseldorf, Germany and I had the honor and pleasure to be invited to coach the participants.
